Running against cancer.

Jan 9, 2015 | News, Events

For many people Super Bowl Sunday is an unofficial holiday- even if you don’t like the teams (or football for that matter), there’s a good chance that you’ll find yourself somewhere watching the game that Sunday evening. We’ll be doing the same, but our Super Bowl Sunday will have an early start at RACE Cancer Foundation’s Super Sunday 5 race in Cambridge.

In 2012, the great people at RACE Cancer Foundation reached out to us about working with them on a relatively new road race happening on Super Bowl Sunday morning. Since then, TargetCancer Foundation has been fortunate to be a partner and beneficiary of the race every year. Sometimes cold and snowing, sometimes unseasonably warm, but always a great time with a 5 mile or 5k race through the heart of Cambridge followed by a giant party with local beer, live music, and much more.

This year, we want to make our strongest showing yet, and you can support TargetCancer Foundation by singing up to run on our team, or by signing up for our volunteer team– either way, be sure to select TargetCancer Foundation from the drop down menu when you sign up.

RACE Cancer Foundation donates proceeds from the fees of thousands of runners to organizations who are making a difference in cancer, and we’re thrilled to continue to be one of those organizations. We’ve even had some of our rare cancer research grant recipients run on our behalf for the past few years!

We hope you will join us on February 1- see you there!
