World Cholangiocarcinoma Day

Feb 17, 2016 | News, Events

Today, we are proud to be a partner foundation for the first ever World Cholangiocarcinoma Day, a day to raise critical awareness of this rare cancer that is increasing in incidence globally. As one of six partner foundations, we share the belief that it is only through collaboration that we can truly make progress towards raising awareness and identifying effective treatments for cholangiocarcinoma. The following are the six founding organizations, and it is our hope that many more will be added in the years to come.

AMMF- The Cholangiocarcinoma Charity
The Bili Project Foundation
The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation
Cholangiocarcinoma Screening and Care Program
TargetCancer Foundation

Since 2010, TargetCancer Foundation has provided over half a million dollars in cholangiocarcinoma research funding, leading to a new clinical trial and significant advances in the understanding of the genetic drivers of this disease. We remain committed today and every day to funding innovative research that will accelerate progress quickly lead to new treatments.

Throughout #WorldCCADay we’ll be posting new patient profiles and other information about our research programs. Be sure to follow #WorldCCADay on Twitter and Facebook and share what you see there to help spread the word as far as possible.

Together, we will make a difference!
